A babysitter was left completely terrified after finding a man hiding under the children’s bed while checking for ‘monsters’.
The incident took place in the city of Great Bend, Kansas (USA), while the woman was putting the children to bed, and one of the children complained about a “monster” lurking in the room, according to the Barton County Sheriff’s Office.
When the babysitter tried to show the child that there was nothing to worry about, she was shocked to find a man, identified as Martin Villalobos Jr., 27, hiding under the bed, according to authorities.
The babysitter argued with Villalobos before he fled the house, knocking a child over in the process. The following morning, police spotted the suspect in the area and arrested him after a brief foot chase.
He is being held in custody and faces charges of aggravated kidnapping, aggravated robbery, aggravated assault, criminal obstruction of a law enforcement officer, and endangerment of a child, with a bond set at $500,000.
